Cluster Python APIa project by fmherschel Project DescriptionThe purpose of this question is first to research, if we already have a python API available to be used in scripts to query status and details in the running cluster. If not already available the first purpose is to get a draft version of such an API. If it is already available the second purpose is to implement some useful examples for SAP workloads. |

Develop an algorithm to create huge 3D worlds based on height mapsa project by ilausuch Project DescriptionWhile I run I always like exploring the world, looking for new path to walk. But of course our resources to do that are limited. So I thought that would be nice to recreate legendary places like Tolkien's maps in 3D and be free to walk around |
multithreaded network benchmarkan invention by mkubecek Project DescriptionThere are multiple network benchmark tools already, most popular probably being netperf and iperf. Each of them has its pros and cons but the biggest drawback probably is that netperf runs only one connection (flow) and while iperf can use multiple connections, it still runs in a single thread. For benchmarking of contemporary fast networks like 40Gb/s or 100Gb/s ethernet, this can be a severe limitation as the performance is often CPU bound. Even on 10Gb/s ethernet, we are often unable to saturate the medium if tunneling or complex packet processing is involved. |

Improve posixovl to support fully featured POSIX file system on top of any limited file system (e. g. vfat)a project by sbrabec posixovl is a FUSE based successor of the old UMSDOS. It has a goal to provide POSIX file system functionality on top of vfat. Its code is nice and well written, but its feature set is not complete yet. It just supports: POSIX modes and user/group, hard and symbolic links, device nodes and named pipes. Much more can be done: |

Container Image for PXE/HTTPBoot Serveran invention by gary_lin Every time we went to UEFI Plugfest, one of the frequently asked questions is how to setup a PXE/HTTPBoot server. Besides, we also have to setup and test the server before the event. Although we already have the document(*), it may be easier to deploy with a container image. My goal is to learn how to package a container image in SLE/openSUSE and create a flexible image for the fast deployment of PXE/HTTPBoot server. |

HelenOS: <filesystem> of a downa project by jjindrak During the previous Hackweek [0], I have successfully implemented, tested and merged [1] an implementation of the entire C++ standard header <future>. This time, my aim is to modernize the C++14-esque standard library [2] of HelenOS [3][4] with a C++17 feature - the <filesystem> header. The <filesystem> header is much larger than the <future> header which I barely managed to implement and test in the allocated time for the previous Hackweek, but <future> was mostly OS-independent as it relied only on previously implemented features of the standard library. The <filesystem> header, however, is limited by the filesystem API of the OS and as such implementing of the entirety of it might not be possible, limiting the scope of the project (which is a good thing due to the time constraints). The primary features of the header [5] that should be implemented: |
