LVM support for Guix System Distribution

With GNU Guix 0.8.1 and it's distribution there is still lack of LVM support. As I'm probably the only user of LVM, I need to hack support into initrd myself.

ESP8266 Tinkering

The libkdumpfile library includes Python bindings. They are implemented as manually created C code for CPython. This is hard to maintain and/or port to alternative Python implementations.

Gerrit is used for code reviews by openstack and its related projects (e.g. chef cookbooks). The web interface is too slow when you get 100 changes to review each day. It would be nice to have a faster CLI. There are already some python client libraries available. I noticed during home office times as well as with multiple people in one office how quickly air quality drops, which affects concentration and finally performance, as it causes tiredness and headache. I want a device that continuously measures the quality and reminds me in time to make adjustments to the airco (if available) or when to air the room, or take a break outside. Parameters to measure are at least temperature, humidity and CO2 level. The device should be stand-alone and potentially battery powered, with the option to connect to other devices such as PCs or smart phones through Wifi, Bluetooth, Serial, ...

The idea would be to create a qt5/kde5 based utility that can use local raw images as well as download a list of sources from a remote site. The idea is simple. Dice is a light weight build service for KIWI images with full control over the build power by the user. At SUSE we have the buildservice which is the full professional version of a build service for packages, images and also products. As a normal user I can provide input and I get some output but I have no control what happens with my data, when it's being processed and where it's being processed. That's by design and works great, thus not meant negatively. I'm a 100% fan of the buildservice

Background

A dashboard for testing and analysis xfstests results just initial this year. It has a lot of performance issues to fix, and it also needed to add more features to get usable. Also bootstrap looks very easy to use, plan to learn some frontend knowledge for fun.

While auto-mounting a VFAT volume in a desktop environment, there is no way to select required mount options for the particular volume. But there is no combination of options that will fit to all purposes. Without being able to choose mount options, some tasks work in an inferior way.
