Easy openSUSE Upgrade

a project by maverick74

Port some classic game to Linux

a project by MDoucha

Let's pick some old classic game, reverse engineer the data formats and game rules and write an open source engine for it from scratch. Some games from 1990s are simple enough that we could have a playable prototype by the end of the week.

Implement support for Alpine Linux in the build service

a project by mlschroe

Description

Alpine Linux is often used for containers, as it's base system has very few dependencies and is therefore very small. The Open Build Service does not work with Alpine, as Alpine has their own package format that is currently not understood by OBS.

virtio-serial in OpenStack

a project by e_bischoff

Currently, the usual way to communicate with VM instances in the cloud from outside is ssh. This is okay for most uses, but a) does not work when you mess up with the guest's ability to network and b) requires a free floating IP.
