creating a vim plugin, that expands this kind of macros into a new vim buffer by pushing a key

macro paths / user defined macros / Name: Version: etc...

  • It could make it a bit easier to read a spec file
  • you could shortcut "gf" open a file with something like this: Patch1: %{name}-%{version}-whatever.patch
