Users sometimes wonder what files or directories they find on their local PC are good for. If they can't determine from the filename or metadata, there should an easy way to quickly analyze the content and at least guess the meaning. An LLM could help with that, through the use of a filesystem MCP and to-text-converters for typical file types. Ideally this is integrated into the desktop environment but works as well from a console. All data is processed locally or "on premise", no artifacts remain or leave the system.

Finish extension for server side history for jabberd2 server and create a simple webui to browse it using tntnet. Part of the project is to learn to use tntnet toolkit, other part is to have server side history.

This project is about hacking and pushing further an engine called BPAEngine written in plymouth that enable people to develop better boot screens without much effort. Having those new boot screens in our distributions would be great.

There seems to be an overall consensus that the ioctl interface used by ethtool is a poor design as it's inflexible, error prone and notoriously hard to extend. It should clearly be replaced by netlink and obsoleted. Unfortunately not much actual work has been done in that direction until this project started.

During testing virtualization , I usually met some issue and can not position the issue location (host or guest), so I would like to deeply learn QEMU code, card the work flow, understand communication mechanism between host and guest.

Currently kernel 3.11 already support it[2], however there haven't a graphic tool to control its wakeup event and timeout, like as similar tool on Windows[3]. Current kGraft implementation allows to apply new patch only when the previous one is applied to the whole system. Every task is handled separately and it needs to wait for a safe place to switch. It might take a while, especially when the task is sleeping.

For our daily work, usually we need to check running result from openQA as a good reference for the quality of a specific build. I'd like to take this chance to make openQA deployed and try to review the test scripts.

At the same time it is getting more and more difficult to get those old applications to run on modern Linux distributions.
