Project Description
In the past year we've found ourselves in the middle of a pandemic, we merged two awesome companies together, and we have completely changed the trajectory of SUSE and Rancher. This project is intended to transfer knowledge of SUSE to Rancher and Rancher to SUSE for those who may be challenged with time and resources to try new things. This gives us a chance to explore other uses for Kubernetes all while taking advantage of older equipment (for use as workers) we may have to spare.

Starting from bare machines; at the end of the week we will help guide you to build Rancher management server managing at least 3 clusters (RKE/K3s) and at least one workload.
Schedule: Weds 24 March && Friday 26 March at 10a ET, 7a PT, 4p CET
Goal for this Hackweek
Build out your own personal, multi-cluster Kubernetes environment running on SLES, managed by Rancher. Deploy other fun and useful workloads such as Pi-hole, Node Red, etc.
Resources
3 "machines" capable of running SLES 15 SP2 (bare-metal or VMs running most anywhere)
- Each with at least 2 (v)cpu and 8 gig RAM
- at least 2 must be x86_64, the 3rd can be Raspberry Pi 4
Note - You will be able to participate if you only have 1 or 2 machines.
