flatpak (previously xdg-app) runtime based on openSUSE / flatpak support for OBS

a project by fcrozat

Flatpak (previously known as xdg-app) is a bundle system, based on ostree, to easily make available applications bundle to users. Currently, flatpack is available on openSUSE Tumbleweed but we don't ship any runtime based on openSUSE (freedesktop or GNOME runtime). Also, it could be interesting to generate flatpak bundle directly from OBS, if possible, using either available packages or directly application sourcecode.

voctoweb - archive for recordings of presentations

a project by mmanno

media.ccc.de currently hosts about 5TB of presentation recordings. The main mirrors send about 5TB of videos each in a single month. Several OpenSource conferences are hosted on media, like the last two openSUSE conference, or the "All Systems Go!" conference. What started as a web frontend for ftp.ccc.de in 2007 has become a complex project that integrates deeply into the tooling used by the VOC team.

Open Source book reader for visually impaired/blind

a project by DKarakasilis

Project Description

I was talking with a friend the other day who is blind. He briefly explained to me how he reads books (the regular, paper printed ones). So, he is taking a photo of each page, passes that to the OCR to extract the text in digital form, then passes that to some text to speech engine to read it out loud.
