Project Description
The ultimate goal is to create agama live image that is really small iso and with minimal memory requirements. It provides just agama CLI and remote connection to web server. So no embedded browser.
Goal for this Hackweek
- Minimize iso as much as possible
- drop embedded browser, X server ( wayland ) and other stuff
- Measure memory requirements by running in VM with various memory assigned
In the end there was two OBS projects:
one is really minimal ISO that needs browser connected outside. For it zram is enabled and also minimized. Result is that even with 1024MiB it installs quite reliably. With 512MiB it does not even boot. With 768MiB it hits OOM. Project https://build.opensuse.org/repositories/home:jreidinger:branches:systemsmanagement:Agama:Staging
is project that has as goal just measure impact of zram. So it can install without issues on 2048MiB. No slowdown is recognized with more memory. With 1024 it is very borderline and installation is really slow, but in the end it can install TW system. Project https://build.opensuse.org/package/show/home:jreidinger/agama-live
