There are a couple of interesting initiatives that make the openSUSE project interesting for SMB, such as
The Invis Server
The Invis Server base on openSUSE is a server for SMB built on openSUSE. See the Invis Page for more information.
The maintainers are asking for help with all tasks listed on progess.opensuse.org
Kraft
Kraft is software to handle daily quotes and invoices in the small business. It is easy to use, protects privacy by running on the desktop and provides premium printout quality.
Kraft was recently released in version 0.81 which is the first bugfix release of Kraft running on the latest Qt version. Kraft is fully ported to Qt5/KF5 and integrates into modern desktops. It comes as AppImage and rpm package.
The project is seeking out for help in
- porting to MacOSX and maybe Windows (Qt5, C++, cross platform)
- providing a MacOSX address book integration. Kraft provides an abstracted address book interface that allows that easily.
- building an ownCloud-app to span across locations and use the private cloud as storage backend.
- documentation improvements
- providing mobile apps to display documents and catalogs
