Look at bpfilter

Bpfilter is meant to be a replacement for the current in-kernel firewall/packet-filtering code. Bpfilter is short for BPF based packet filtering framework. In this hackweek, I'd like to have a look at bpfilter since I am curious about why bpfilter, how does it work and its current status.

Get started with nftables on openSUSE

netfilter.org states that "nftables is the project that aims to replace the existing {ip,ip6,arp,eb}tables framework." The nftables kernel code was merged into the mainline kernel in January 2014. So it's time to get started with the new Linux firewall framework on openSUSE.
