ESP8266 Tinkering

The ESP8266 is an interesting little device that has been around for a while. It has the potential to support some interesting IoT applications. There is Ardunio core support for this device and a rich set of libraries to help developers get started.

My plan is to get familiar with this device and prototype a few applications with it. I may look at ways to integrate this with Amazon Alexa skills and/or Apple HomeKit.
