Do you need to record podcasts or interviews remotely?

As we have grown in our remote and non official office at Gran Canaria we had to rent another space. This new office is almost empty and we need a little bit of love to improve the sensation of relax and commodity while we do what we love most. The main target of this project is to kickstart the decoration process, creating a minimum plan of what we want to achieve and step the first steps :smile:

In this hack week we want to focus on improving the existing components used for http://docsearch.nue.suse.com. Creating separated repositories for each service and pushing them to github.com is also desired. After an internal call for help to take over software.opensuse.org deployment, I spend some time studying the code in order to find out what would it mean to take it over. The main reason was a PR from the community that has not been merged, and deployment depending on internal SUSE employees.

DAPS, the "DocBook Authoring and Publishing Suite" provides a tool set for easy creation and publication of DocBook sources on Linux. DAPS lets you create HTML (incl. webhelp), PDF, EPUB, man pages, and other formats with a single command. DAPS is used and developed by teh SUSE documentation team. The official DAPS release is 1.1.7. SUSE internally DAPS 2.0 rc2 has been released. A few issues need to be fixed (mainly closing open bugs and adding missing test cases). The goal of this project is to fix these issues, so DAPS 2.0 can be publicly released.
