Android client for bluetooth serial device for car diagnostics

There is quite a popular Android software for connection OBD standard adapters but not for older, brand specific ones. One for pre 2001 VAG cars is this one: http://www.blafusel.de/obd/wbhdiagpro_bt.html

I'd like to write an Android client for that for a) learning Android programming and b) get an easy way for electronic diagnosis.
