Project Description

Since now we have a system that take real time data from progress to generate metrics

Then some of our colleges has started projects to supply Grafana (better way to interact with the data) with metrics that are collected using some scripts and Telegraf

Now the idea is to provide a easy way to populate InfluxDB (the common Grafana DB) from historical data of all the life of a project. Also provide a platform to develop the metrics generation plugins avoiding the limited performance on Progress API

Goal for this Hackweek

• Define an standardized document definition for issues and states
• Extract data from Progress and store this in sqlite
• Adapt redmine statistics project to generate metrics from queries over sqlite
• Create a applicable example using the system. For that a container or a docker-compose or helm chart will be developed to create and environment to prove the developed technology and provide historical metrics over the projects in progress.
