What is ResourceSpace

Citing the webpage:
ResourceSpace is the web-based Digital Asset Management software of choice for leading commercial, academic and not for profit organisations, offering a convenient, productive and easy to use solution for organising and sharing files. We help organisations improve efficiency, encourage collaboration, and free up time and resources.
Fully customisable to best meet the demands of your business and packed with highly beneficial features, ResourceSpace is open source software, meaning that there are no license fees to pay and no vendor lock-ins.
ResourceSpace has grown over the years with thousands of businesses and individuals making use of the software. It is actively maintained by a strong developer base and an active and helpful community.
What does a private person need a DAM for?
Photography. The possibility of putting JPEG and RAW with alternative edited versions of the respective file into one database element itself is reason enough to consider ResourceSpace as a powerful alternative to Nextcloud, Owncloud or even Google Photos. Without fancy AI features unfortunately but this could be solved by scripting and adding respective tags during upload (EDIT: ResourceSpace Google Vision API support in 8.6 and facial recognition via Google Vision API in 9.0)
What is the project scope?
- Update my already existing Docker Container to ResourceSpace 9.0 (https://github.com/suntorytimed/resourcespace-docker)
- Look at new ways of configuration
- Upgrade the test server to ResourceSpace 9.0
- Fix issues that still exist with my mass upload script and see if the new version of ResourceSpace fixed the server side issues that I had with 8.6

A small update on the current status: * ResourceSpace 9.0 is up and running on photography.hibiki.eu * Most of the bugs I reported in 8.6 got fixed. There are still some small usability issues in the uploader but it is usable * I updated the Docker container to ResourceSpace 9.0 and added some missing configuration of Apache and cron * Set up a playground on localhost for playing around with my mass upload script * The setup guide for SUSE on the ResourceSpace website needs an update: https://www.resourcespace.com/knowledge-base/systemadmin/install_suse ** as soon as I have added the missing packages I will inform the company behind ResourceSpace so they can update the installation instructions ** lets see if I can get it to run on SLES + PackageHub as well
