It is not a about make a new software. It is a service in fact.

Everyone working in Beijing Office struggles with the tortoise network speed when doing zypper.

We can not improve the network which is out of our control. It is also a waste of network traffic to sync all the stuff in the repos we need.

But we can cache what is used more frequently.

I am going to try this with a http proxy service. All the same packages are downloaded only once and cached.

All users using zypper with the http proxy feel the speed up.
