Project Description
Video game manuals from the 1980s and 1990s use simple language and illustrations to introduce users to software. Let's apply some of those design ideas to the Rancher docs.
Goal for this Hackweek
Create a brief manual describing what Rancher is and how to get started. We'll use annotated screenshots, color-coding, two-page spreads, arrows, and writing aimed at a middle school reading level.
For MVP, we can go for a website in this style, with a .pdf version as a parallel/stretch goal. Creating an ASCII game FAQ might be a good way to create an initial draft.
Resources
We'll need writers, illustrators, editors, "play testers", and retro gaming fans.
