OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is an open source computer vision and machine learning software library.

The goal is to get familiar with OpenCV API and with the available algorithms. Specifically, I want to look into these particular tasks:

  • speed up matching algorithms in openQA
  • 2D to 3D reconstruction
  • face recognition and tagging
  • grouping similar photos

      I have some experience with OpenCV (basic stuff and a bit of Haar cascades / filters) and openQA, so ping me if I can help : )))

      My results so far:

      • learned the API basics

      • tried depth map construction from stereo pair of images and rendering of new image from different viewpoint. Used inpainting algorithm for filling in occlusions.

      • tried Cuda and OpenCV, found that my notebook is too old for this

      • organized stereo photography presentation, showed the results
