Description

The goal is to host HA DNS setup myself. I wanna host my public as well as internal zones. The servers will be interconnected via p2p Wireguard tunnels. The deployment will be done via Ansible.

Infrastructure

• Hidden master running Knot DNS (This is VM in my home cluster
• Two slaves running Knot DNS (Those are new dedicated cheap VPS)
• ACME-DNS machine (This is my existing "webhosting" VPS)

Goals

• Create the DNS configuration (this will not be automated)
• Create the Ansible playbook including tests and CI for zone deployment
• Migrate all my existing domains to this setup

• Deploy ACME-DNS
• Use it for both public as well as internal services
