Continuing last year tweaks of packman project we should proceed in the good work and reduce the packman to provide smallest set of packages possible on Tumbleweed (later on inherited by 43.0...).
One of the cool results planned is that on stock openSUSE Tumbleweed user will be able to run most of the multimedia apps and play youtube (this is already working) and also with addition of non-free repository being able to run netflix.

Overall project was semi-successful. We managed to reduce items in the Essentials project and replace some packages on Leap 42.2 and Tumbleweed with their respective versions from OBS. Sadly the packman community maintainers vision kinda differ from stability we would envision from the repository thus we will have to discuss the plans for the long run multimedia solution openSUSE needs.

Significant part of goals of this project was achieved, multiple packages were replaced by links to Factory or respective devel project, some dependencies were submitted as maintenance update as well.
For me following was done:
- madplay - submitted to factory, linked on packman
- lightspark - submission to factory is being prepared, linked on packman
- msitools - submitted to factory, linked to packman
- png++ - maintenance update created, once published it can be removed from packman at all
- libcec - maintenance update created, once published it can be removed from packman at all
- libyajl1 - deleted from packman
- nas - dropped from packam and OBS (not secure, not used), dependencies were updated, maintenance update for gstremer to remove support was triggered
- perl-Audio-RPLD - on way to devel project in OBS
