Project Description

SUSE Manager (SUMA) can export a information about client machines that it manages already, but the information exported is a limited and there is no option to adjust what is exported. The idea behind this project is to use the extensive API for SUMA to extract further details about managed clients. The intention is to use python to access the API, providing an opportunity to gain some experience in using python. This idea follows on from casual request from a real customer project.

Updates will be added here, and when (if?) functional, the python code will be shared via GitHub.

Goal for this Hackweek

By the end of the week I hope to have at least a simple list of servers being managed by SUMA. I also hope to gain some useful experience with python!
