Description

virtx is a simple federation of libvirt hosts with a REST API, targeted at pet (large) VMs management. It is currently based on Hashicorp Serf for simple clustering,

architecture

Goals

  • Add import jobs for VMware -> virtx (and possibly plain libvirt -> virtx)
  • Add minimal security features, including Authentication and Authorization, Certificates, maybe HTTPS or proxying / chaining via nginx or other services.
  • Constructive review of the current code dump.

        Small update on this: we need HashiCorp Serf "as a dependency" of VirtX, so I packaged it and have just submitted such package to the systemsmanagement Devel Project (with the goal of submitting it from there to Factory as soon as it's accepted)
