The goal of this project is to create video tutorial describing configuration of SUSE Manager for Retail.

There is a precise documentation describing every step of its configuration, but SUSE Manager for Retail is still a very complex piece of software and there is a lot of things to be configured configured properly (proxy configuration, Kiwi image building, DNS, DHCP, etc.) in specific order to get it finally working.

I hope video tutorial could be a tool, which can help to get oriented.

Target audience is anyone, who intends to create manually own SUMA for Retail environment for testing or demonstration purposes, or anyone who is just being curious :-) So...

Tutorial will show:

  • How to set up environment for retail
  • How to build a kiwi image for terminal
  • How to prepare VM to be used as a terminal
  • How to configure SUMA and formulas for retail
  • How to finally boot the terminal

NOTE: All examples will be based on SUMA 4.0 and SLE 15 SP1.
