Practice Perl through implementing -- Message Board

I want to improve myself in Perl & Mojolicious and I want to have a nice open-source self-hosted message board / forum written in Perl. Let's combined it into one ultimate goal.

I would like to have:

  1. proper UTF-8 handling add-emoji
  2. tree-like categories for topics
  3. access permissions (group-only categories)
  4. unread message tracking
  5. e-mail notification support
  6. reply by e-mail feature
  7. single sign-on (e.g. OAuth2, OpenID, LemonLdap::NG, ...)
  8. nice modern look (maybe like flarum)
