Project Description
When I boot my laptop, I am prompted for 3 passwords: the password for full disk encryption (FDE), the password to login as my user and the password for my password manager. I want to explore a solution to have only to enter a single password to unlock all three.
I came across this idea on #himitsu on libera chat IRC.
Goal for this Hackweek
For this Hackweek, I will focus on the Alpine Linux distribution and the himitsu password manager.
Here are some sources:
- mkinitfs: The tool to build the alpine initramfs
- himitsu: The password manager
- hboot script: Script to unlock himitsu's store and put the user's cred in the linux keyring.
