Rootless Kiosk for k8s running on Wayland

Description

Customers need to run applications that have a GUI on the Edge, including touch and keyboards, and this is currently done using the Kiosk built by Andrew Gracey

Goals

The current Kiosk implementation uses X11, so the goals for this project will be

  • Create a Wayland container based on BCI

  • Ensure the container runs without the need for root privileges

  • Keyboard and Mouse support

  • Hotplug for USB devices
