My Xbox One X does not start - receiving varying error codes on boot-up. [I play DVD/BluRay on it so it is essential to fix]

I would like to document taking it apart, and fixing it. Replacing any faulty hardware and/or repairing software issues I will also research if I can upgrade or improve the console while doing this (for example: dual boot with other opensource projects)

Process

• Turned on Xbox - received error E106 - tried factory reset error E101 - searched for these error codes
• Tried booting using USB2 with Ubuntu for live OS from Flash drive -> did not load from USB (unable to install easily linux on xbox machine, not supported hardware/drivers - forum link)
• Per [1] Faulty hard drive or corrupt OS
• Downloaded OSU1 file as per [4] and loaded to Flash drive per instructions
• Attempted offline installation - fails and loops back to "troubleshoot" screen
• Ordered new SSD 2.5" drive 1TB
• Watched [3] and took apart the console - see [5]
• Took out old HDD and replaced with new SSD
• Put console back together
• Turned on Xbox with USB drive with OSU1 file
• Loaded to Troubleshoot menu and started "Offline system update"

• Xbox updated and started first turn on / setup procedures

• Tried to test old HDD using dock on 2 separate PCs, drive would spin up but not appear in Windows or Ubuntu(live)
