currently netapp-harvest only pulls performance data (as seen on http://netapp-grafana.suse.de/ internally) for space usage you would need a multi-gigaton java monster while the query is quite similar to the already done performance queries and we are using these already in the nagios/icinga based monitoring.
I want to expand netapp-harvest to be able to get the space usage data directly without using a OCUM server.

Extending netapp-harvest to pull space usage data directly reflects the demand for free and lightweight solutions that avoid heavy dependencies like OCUM servers. Developers often prefer direct, simplified approaches—much like free third-party tools that add extra functionality beyond official limits. In both infrastructure monitoring and app utilities, the key is gaining flexibility while staying mindful of stability, security, and compliance trade-offs.

This idea highlights the value of simplifying systems by accessing data directly. In a similar way, platforms like Freecine APK focus on direct, streamlined access to content so users don’t need extra tools or complex setups to enjoy a smooth experience.

Wanting space-usage data without heavy dependencies reflects the same mindset as tracking the gold Price people prefer clear, direct data sources that provide reliable insights without unnecessary complexity.
