I'm going to port coreboot to the Dell Latitude E6230 laptop and make it work.
Dell Latitude E6230 has two SOIC-8 flash chips. The 4M one which contains the top part of the firmware can be read and programmed, while the 8M one is hard to access via ISP. I downloaded a 12MB ROM from a Google drive made by others.
I've used autoport to generate the code that can boot the machine, however, the laptop will shut down after some seconds and I think EC is the problem.

there was a talk about EC etc on ELCE this year at Prague. It might be worth a look: https://schd.ws/hosted_files/osseu17/84/Replace%20UEFI%20with%20Linux.pdf
